To My Howie,

Happy Birthday!  I just wanted to thank God for the many memories, the great times and the lessons that were taught and learned.  I thank the Lord, that you are now home and finally you can feel and know God's great LOVE, PEACE, JOY and REST; the things you had been searching for, for so many years you have finally found. Job well done!  You truly were a blessing to so many without even knowing it.  I will miss you my friend.

Much Love,

Sonia

We will never forget the time that we had last month breaking bread and getting to know your new bride. You truly turned your heart to God our father and he received it and you. We will always treasure the love and brotherhood that we shared. Rest in peace brother Howard!

I remember Howard as a young very cute school boy that I met at Hoosac School along with my then future husband Peter Bandoo. One day Howard went skiing with a few school mates and decided to borrow a pair of skiis from one of the girls which did not fit his feet of course and so his feet were half way sticking out of the skiis and he broke his leg while actually trying to skii in them. WHAT WAS HE THINKING? he was thinking that he just wanted to have a good time and he did with broken leg and all. Howard always had a soft spot for me as his sister in law no matter what we went through. I mean we would fight and make up just like we were siblings. I

guess that is all part of a privelege of knowing him and that person that he was.

Howard has always been a great uncle to my children. I mean when Adam first started school, he would actually volunteer his free time as the classroom parent and help the teachers. He did this very many times with a smile and actually enjoyed it. When Peter and I could not make it to parent teacher conferences in New Jersey, there was Uncle Howie to the rescue. He should have worn a cape. Howard I really did appreciate the fact that you never said no when we really needed you to come through. I have to say that he gave alot of himself to my family and his presence alone made my children very happy "Uncle Howie's here"!!!! Howard's greatest accomplishment is his little boy David whom I love very much. Thank you Howard for leaving a piece of you behind through little David.

I am very saddened by this loss for the Bandoo family and my heart goes out to them. Howard will be truly missed. May you forever rest in peace

I remember the first time I ever saw Howard for the first time. We were both about to begin our freshman year in bible college. I was standing in the dorm lobby and in walked a tall, handsome, and distinguished guy with an amazing smile. Oh by the way, he had hair! Georgeous hair. I said to myself, "I hope that I am fortunate to get to know him" Well, I did. Then was the beginning to a wonderful friendship, of which I will treasure until I see him again in the prescensce of Our Heavenly Father. Howard had the most precious gifts a friend could give to another. He was always there for support and encouragement. The world may have been crumbling down around him yet he always extended his heart towards the needs of others. I will always remember all the laughs we had together, the trips we took together, the prayers we prayed together, all the many beautiful  memories we shared. Everytime I think of Howard I see a friend, a brother, a voice of calm, a conqueror, a man that fought the fight against the struggles of this world but who overcame through the mercies and lovingkindness of His God! Such a beautiful soul with an enormous amout of love for his family and friends. Howie, thank you for the journey of friendship that we shared and the love that I will treasure forever in my heart. I love you!
